Terms of Service

By signing up, accessing or using ai-detectors.io ('the Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You must be 13 or older (16 in the EU) to use the Service.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Notify security@ai-detectors.io of any unauthorised access immediately.

You may not share an account across multiple users - each user needs their own account.

Use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy at /acceptable-use, which is incorporated here by reference.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the AUP.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Annual billing is 50% off the monthly rate.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel any time from /dashboard/billing.

Refunds: 7-day money-back guarantee on the most recent subscription charge or top-up. Consumed credit is not refundable individually. See /refund-policy.

Taxes: prices exclude VAT and applicable sales tax. Tax is calculated and added at checkout based on your billing address.

We retain all rights to the Service, including the underlying detection models, code and brand.

You retain all rights to content you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process the content for the purpose of providing the Service.

We do not train detectors on your uploads.

The Service is provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind. AI detection is probabilistic - no detector is 100% accurate. We publish a 1.2% false-positive rate on text and we surface confidence on every result.

Do not use the Service as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions like academic discipline or employment without human review.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is capped at the greater of (a) $100, or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages.

You can delete your account any time from /dashboard/settings.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, the AUP or that we reasonably suspect of fraud or abuse.

On termination, scan history is deleted within 30 days unless retention is legally required.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in the state or federal courts of Delaware.

We may update these Terms. We will email all account holders before any material change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
